Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information ScreenSavvy ("we", "us") collects through the website screensavvy.tech, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. The ScreenSavvy app will have its own privacy policy when it launches.

Who we are

ScreenSavvy is a startup based in Israel, and we are responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@screensavvy.tech.

What we collect

• Waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. We also store the date and time you signed up, which language version of the site you used, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which help us prevent spam and abuse.
• Partner applications. When you apply to become a partner we collect the details you enter: first and last name, company or organization, email address, country, LinkedIn link, the kind of partnership you're interested in and any message you write.
• Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and how quickly pages load. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and device and browser type. We don't use it to identify you personally, and we have turned off its advertising features.

You don't have to give us any of this information, and there is no legal obligation to do so. If you choose not to, we won't be able to add you to the waitlist or reply to your request.

How we use it

• To email you about ScreenSavvy's launch and early access, if you joined the waitlist.
• To reply to partnership requests and other messages.
• To understand and improve the website.
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam.

We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use service providers that process information on our behalf: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (website hosting and database) and Google Analytics. These providers may store information on servers outside Israel, including in the United States and the European Union. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist and partner information until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the purposes above. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. To do any of this, email us at contact@screensavvy.tech. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. In Israel, you can contact the Privacy Protection Authority.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga. If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we only use these cookies after you accept them in our cookie notice. Anyone can change their choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We also remember your choice in your browser's local storage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Children

This website isn't directed at children under 16. If you're under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before joining the waitlist. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
